This is an exceptionally aromatic champagne, both fruity and floral, and is the signature release from Ruinart. The ageing in crayères helps to develop this from the 100% chardonnay blend. The blend itself is 20-25% reserve wine, with the rest sourced from premier crus in Côte des Blancs (69%) and Montagne de Reims (31%). This is a great example of the blanc de blancs style, with the chalkiness of the soil in these vineyards letting the wine express the pure flavours of the fruit, for an intense, yet still smooth and light profile.
