Description
This 14 year Cardhu was part of the 2021 Diageo Special Release series. It was matured in refill American oak casks and finished in red wine casks before being bottled at 55.5% ABV. Big ol’ tree on the label, too, tying into the ‘Legends Untold’ theme of the 2021 Special Releases.
The nose is fresh, fruity, and surging with notes of orchard fruits, meadow flowers, and buttery pastry. The palate is soft and smooth, with a sweet toffee taste complementing crisp, clean oak. The finish is short and sweet, with a little kick of spice and perfume.
