Description
Produced in small batches to be released every year, this exceptionally rare and ever-changing 19 year old draws its inspiration from Islay’s Traigh Bhan beach, known locally as the Singing Sands. Matured in a combination of American oak and Oloroso sherry casks.
A robust whisky. The peat is surprisingly prominent for a 19 year old. Well integrated peat profile, fruity notes, damp leather, damp cloth, firewood shed smell. Fungal and earthiness, savoury with a blue cheese funk. Grapefruit pith, citrus. Very complex!
